Robert Holmes, 1995

Robert Holmes was born in 1927 in Missouri. Robert earned a degree in civil engineering from the University of Arizona. He started a business in Arizona, where he became one of the most successful custom luxury home builders in the burgeoning Phoenix area for three decades. He sold his construction business in 1981. He decided to then pursue sculpting exclusively. In 1989, he opened his own bronze art foundry called Bronze Plus. Robert seldom talked about his work and granted only a handful of interviews, mainly due to the fact that he was nearly deaf most of his life and felt that his sculpture spoke for itself.
