Dawn Mendelson worked with fellow artist Luz Mack-Durini to create City Hall Park. This piece is a 6-foot diameter medallion for Brea’s City Hall Park. The medallion was inspired by the many activites of the park and reflects its open and fresh atmosphere. A gentle flowing nature brings together the sky and the water with images of roses, a swimmer, the museum, and playful musical notes referring to the Concerts in the Park series, which takes place in the summer. They used the patented LithoMosaic process, embedding mosaic into structural concrete.
