Kate & Ella

Kate & Ella

Ramon G. Valazco, 2008

Located in the Kate & Ella Court on the Katella side of the property is the historic statue of Kate and Ella. Kate and Ella were the daughters of John Rea, the owners of a walnut ranch in Anaheim. John decided he would name his walnut ranch after his daughters Kate and Ella, combining their names to create “Katella”. This became what Katella Avenue was named after.
