Laguna Beach artist Michele Taylor’s inspiration for this piece was Aesop’s fable ‘The Tortoise and the Hare” Michele said, “It is my hope that the tortoise will inspire viewers to maintain focus, humility and perseverance regardless of the situation.” The artwork is imbedded with ceramics, cast and blown glass.
