Orange Crates

Orange Crates

Nobuho Nagasawa, 1900 to 1992

Orange Crates by Nobuho Nagasawa evoke memories of the past by the orange crates which refer to Anaheim’s history. These crates are replicas of those used to ship oranges. Original orange artwork from citrus growers that was used to sell produce. Not too many years ago, real orange crates were filled with Anaheim’s agricultural bounty and shipped to destinations all across the country. Authentic labels, including the “Pride of Anaheim,” have been accurately reproduced and demonstrate the beauty of an art form no longer practiced.
