Planter Box Art Series Sompurna Mini Mukherjee

Sompurna Mini Mukherjee, 2018-2022

Sompurna Mini Mukherjee created two planters. Mini Mukherjee is a metalwork artist and sculptor based in Los Angeles where she works out of Hawhtorne Arts Complex. Her unique sculptures and paintings in copper, brass, and steel have shown and sold throughout California as well as in private collections accross the country including New York, Washington, and Michigan.

The project was coordinated by the City’s Public Art Committee and the Parks and Recreation Department, the project painted more than 25 planter boxes in Old Town Tustin with various designs, some reflecting Tustin’s agricultural history.
