Santora Oz Community Mural
Artist Matthew Southgate creates a mural of the Santora building that is reminiscent of the city of O, Z complete with the illusion of the floor leading into the mural. Southgate's gallery is called Studio de Sotano at the Santora. Artists are preparing to celebrate the 84th anniversary of the building on Saturday night. ///ADDITIONAL INFO: 070612 - sa.santora - ANA VENEGAS, THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER - Artists in the Santora Arts Building will celebrate the 84th birthday of the building with a 1920s-themed event Saturday night during the monthly Artwalk in the Artists Village. On Friday they'll be decorating the interior and exterior of the building. There's a new mural in the basement led by Matt Southgate, and other stuff to check out on the first and second floors.

The mural was designed by artist Matthew Southgate and painted by a team of artists in 2012. The Oz-like depiction of the Santora was created for the 84th birthday celebration for the historic 1928 structure. Condition: whitewashed
