Strawberry Utility Box Mural was created by Alyssa Johnson and Patricia Laukat in 2014.

Girl scouts Alyssa Johnson and Patricia Laukat initiated the project with this Utility box mural to win the Girl Scout Silver Award. Part of winning the the Girl Scout Silver Award is by Girl Scouts participating in showing leadership in their community. Inspired by utility box murals that depicted history of the city in Gilroy, California, Alyssa’s idea was to translate that into the community of Garden Grove.

This is the first of seven designed utility boxes in the downtown Garden Grove area.
