The Artist's Vision

The Artist’s Vision

James McDeamas, 2004

The Artist’s Vision by James McDeamas is installed as Public Art at the Costa Mesa City Hall. A discarded piece of playground equipment was inverted to form a canopy. It weighs over 200 pounds. The dome is supported by 4 connected seamless stanchions about 10 feet in height. One day while sitting on his patio, James was looking through the openings in the canopy. He laughed and said, “some see clouds, but I see visions.”
