Marlo’s vibrant ceramic mural is a conduit to Brooks Street Beach, a popular surf spot, and host to the Brooks Street Surfing Classic since 1955. The abstract mural captures the ocean, reflected in the tiles and shape, which curve with the coastline. Functional as seating or for standing, the ocean is nearly at your feet. “I hope it’s inspiring and will be used for communication to show similarities between people,” Marlo said.
