Virtual Falls

Flour

Tall, irregular slabs of stone stand on end in association with a refined piece of green glass. Inspired by the movie “Mulholland Falls” and by the virtual nature of Flour’s work, the color and shape of the stone suggest movement of virtual water. The edge of one stone casts a silhouette representative of Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite. When lighted by the sun or nighttime lighting from the front, the stone’s shadow is seen on the glass from the other side. When lit from the other side, a frothy green light from the glass is cast on the interior of the stone structure.
