Giving Children Hope is privileged to work with diverse individuals and communities both locally and around the world, supplying projects that address and focus on the needs of children. GCH works to promote family sustainability, economic independence, and self-sufficiency so that children may grow in stable environments. GCH also plays a role in the redevelopment and rehabilitation of under-resourced schools, hospitals, and orphanages. GCH's programs mobilize organizations so that they can provide a bridge between the sources of aid and those with the greatest need, empowering individuals to reach children caught in hopelessness.

Golden West College Theater

Located in the Southern Californian coastal community of Huntington Beach, Golden West College (GWC) is part of the California Community College system and was founded in 1965. On 120 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, GWC serves 13,000 students and is a two-year college. GWC provides an Associate degree in most subjects, a strong university transfer program, and over 60 major areas in addition to a wide variety of short-term vocational options. It provides a safe and secure location, a multicultural environment, an active student body and a newly developed honors program. The college is highly regarded for academic quality and innovation. In its earliest years, the college was recognized for its pioneering leadership in designing learning-centered programs and services for its student body. Golden West College continues in that tradition to this day.

Gum Grove Nature Park

Gum Grove Park hugs the edge of Los Cerritos Wetlands. A popular park with locals for dog walking. There is one trail down the middle of the park shaded by eucalyptus trees. Several small single track trails run along the hill that separates neighborhood homes from the park. Gum Grove Park is adjacent to what is left of the Los Cerritos Wetlands, a vast marsh that at one time covered 4,000 acres. Today all that is left is about 800 acres. Los Cerritos Wetlands is the largest salt marsh in Los Angeles County and one of only about 30 southern California coastal salt marshes still in existence.

Hallberg Theatre: CSU Fullerton

California State University at Fullerton's Clayes Performing Arts Center is composed of several distinct spaces, one of which is the Hallberg Theatre. The 150-seat Hallberg Theatre is built in the black box tradition, and includes flexible seating from in the round to a more traditional formation. This space features experimental and rarely performed Theatre productions and also showcases new plays.

Hart Park

Hart Park was acquired in 1934. It is 40.08 acres and features a two structured tot-lot suitable for children ages 5-12 years old, reservable picnic areas accommodating from 30 to approximately 702 guests, non-reservable picnic tables, an activity building great for small group meetings accommodating approximately 30 guests, 2 lighted softball/baseball fields, a reservable terrace for soccer or football, and a reservable bandshell ideal for music events. This park is great for birthday parties, family reunions, family and company parties. There is also acres of passive and open space, which are splendid for exercising and walking.

Heritage Park

Heritage Park is 2.3 acres with a collection of historic buildings placed in a lush setting for special events and social functions. In a city where grade schools take on the names of community founders, historic buildings and landmarks scattered throughout town bring an awareness that not all is lost or forgotten to time. Hillcrest Recreation Center

Beautiful stone steps adorn Hillcrest Park, which served as an Auto Park until 1930. Centrally located in the City, this scenic park is filled with mature shade trees and large picnic areas that are perfect for any social outing. Scattered throughout the park are several war memorials dedicated to the Fullerton residents who served the country in a major war. The latest renovations at Hillcrest Park are the restoration of the 1920's era Works Progress Administration (WPA) historic fountain and surrounding stonework completed in May 2018. The fountain project included major improvements to the Great Lawn and the barranca, and the creation of an inviting grand entrance on Harbor Blvd. The “Hillcrest Stairs,” which opened in 2017, features a network of seven-foot wide timber stairs, connecting Lions Field to Hillcrest Park. It attracts health and fitness enthusiasts and offers visitors new viewing decks. Hillcrest Park Rental Facilities There are three rental buildings in Hillcrest Park; the Hillcrest Recreation Center, the Izaak Walton Cabin, and the Red Cross Building. In addition there are several outdoor facilities available for outdoor rental; the Hillcrest Terrace, the Pavilion, and the Upper and Lower Picnic areas. Weddings are popular on the front lawn, the bowl and the recently renovated Hilltop Lawn at the Reservoir. Camp Hillcrest Children and young adults can take part in the summer and after-school programs happening at the Hillcrest Recreation Center. which is located in the east end of the park on 1155 N. James Irvine II donated this six-acre city park site in 1941 for the purpose of establishing a permanent venue for the Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters, held annually. The Park features an expansive lawn, tables and chairs, Terra Laguna Beach, Intermission by Terra, and the Forum Theater with seating capacity for 232.

Irvine Regional Park

Irvine Regional Park is nestled among a grove of heritage Oak and Sycamore trees. The rolling foothills surrounding the park are filled with a variety of wildlife. Trees and shaded turf areas provide a serene setting for leisure activities. Santiago Creek bisects the park and a pond with stone-work waterfall and foot bridge is located in the center of the park. The variety of landscape greatly enhances the park's beauty. Remember to visit the OC Zoo inside the park. Tables and barbecues are located throughout the 491-acre park with convenient parking and restroom facilities nearby. A paved bicycle/walking trail meanders through the central park providing easy access to six playgrounds, four softball fields, two horseshoe pits and lake. A three-mile equestrian trail skirts the perimeter of the central park providing scenic views of the park and it's natural scenery. Horse trailers can be parked on the north perimeter of the train station parking lot. A lookout trail is on the north slope of the natural area where a covered shelter, watering trough and water fountain are available.

La Habra Depot Theatre

At LCAD, art school is no longer a place where students mostly learn the theories behind what makes art and design work. This college teaches students specific skills with tangible outcomes. LCAD will inspire people to remain connected with nature and creativity.
