Westminster Community Playhouse was founded in 1961 as the Westminster Players with the presentation of Applause. The building was constructed in 1974 and the first show was presented on May 31, 1974.

The Westminster Community Playhouse (WCP) is a non-profit community theatre that engages with the community through artistic, educational and cultural experiences that enrich lives and promote lifelong learning in and through the performing arts.  WCP values it’s patrons and volunteers, and strongly believes in: Education, Camaraderie, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Teamwork.
