Acclaimed for their profound musical insight and rare tonal beauty, the Escher String Quartet “hold[s] the listener spellbound from first bar to last” (BBC Music Magazine). Named after the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher for his interplay between individual components working together to form a whole, the Escher Quartet features Adam-Barnett Hart (violin), Aaron Boyd (violin), Pierre LaPointe (viola), and Brook Speltz (cello).

Grammy-winning classical guitarist Jason Vieaux joins the quartet for a program of works by Bach, Mozart, and Boccherini, as well as contemporary composers Duke Ellington, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and Thomas Ades. Vieaux has earned a reputation for putting his expressiveness and virtuosity at the service of a remarkably wide range of music. NPR describes Vieaux as, “perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation.”
