Stephanie Butler lives and works in her hometown of Santa Ana, working in 2D and 3D media, with a focus on the relationship between analog and interactive innovations. Butler earned her BA in Art with emphasis in Art Education from CSULB (’05), Teaching Credential from CSULB (’07), and taught in highly diverse local High Schools and Middle Schools since 2007. She was a founding faculty for two schools, developing exceptional studio visual arts programs and STEAM curricula, and received three nominations for Teacher of Excellence. Butler studied and experimented while in her classroom on the impact of Quantitative Data Driven Instruction in The Visual Arts, measuring its impact on demonstrated creativity in student work, and earning her MA in Art with emphasis in Art Education from CSULB (’15). Her research earned the Art Education Merit Award and 2nd Place in Graduate Educational Research at CSULB. Butler presented her thesis at the National Art Education Association Annual Convention in 2016, which is available on YouTube. She founded Six Toes Studio in 2017, currently expanding in Santa Ana to a co-working atelier, gallery, and artist incubator hub.  Now transitioned out of the K12 classroom, Butler continues to create art and contribute to community in the intersection of artist and art educator.
