The Museum of the Republic of Vietnam opened in the spring of 2016 in Westminster, California. It is the first and only museum in the world dedicated to the history of the Republic of Vietnam and its military. The museum is conveniently located in the heart of the largest community of the Vietnamese diaspora around the world – Little Saigon in Orange County. The mission of the museum is to honor veterans, preserve and study the history of the republic, and educate future generations. The museum exists as a community space open to the public where veterans and their families, students, educators, professionals, and anyone with an interest to discover more about the rich history of the Republic of Vietnam is welcome.
Visitors to the museum have the chance to view a wide range of historical artifacts from the military and government of the Republic of Vietnam. Authentic dioramas and scale models of naval vessels as well as military aircraft and vehicles are also on display. Exhibits rotate on a regular basis, and continual visits to experience these new displays are encouraged. The museum also routinely hosts lectures, film viewings, and other educational programs open to the public. Additionally, the museum frequently participates in Little Saigon community events, such as the annual Tet Festival. Museum staff are also available for educational activities as part of school programs or arranging private group tours and lectures at the museum. Please contact the museum for more i
