Love him or hate him, this museum provides interesting insight into the life of the 37th president. Exhibits explore everything from his childhood on a lemon farm to events surrounding the Watergate scandal. Listen to a tape recording of Nixon talking with the Apollo 11 astronauts, view his televised debates with John F. Kennedy and see the actual helicopter that he traveled in after his final departure from the White House.

Our Response to COVID-19:

01/20/2021:  In accordance with the latest state guidelines, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library will reopen outdoor spaces.

Guests can safely explore the history and beauty of the Pat Nixon Gardens and the new outdoor exhibit, The President and the Planet: Richard Nixon and the Environment. This exhibit is an in-depth look at the historic environmental initiatives of the Nixon years and the continued impact of the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Air Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, and the Endangered Species Act. It features beautiful commissioned sculptures and plein air art, as well as excellent visuals and family photo opportunities.

The outdoor exhibition and gardens will remain open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Admission tickets are $6 at this phase of the reopening.
